History
Ancient Origins

West Lake (西湖)

Longjing Tea Village (龙井村)
Home to China's most famous green tea, Longjing (Dragon Well) Tea Village offers visitors a chance to experience traditional tea culture. The village is surrounded by terraced tea fields and ancient tea houses. Leifeng Pagoda (雷峰塔)
Standing on the south bank of West Lake, Leifeng Pagoda is an iconic landmark with a history dating back to 975 AD. The current structure is a modern reconstruction completed in 2002, built on the original foundation. The five-story pagoda offers panoramic views of West Lake and houses a museum displaying Buddhist relics and artifacts discovered in the ruins of the original pagoda.
Xixi National Wetland Park (西溪国家湿地公园)
China's first and only wetland park combining urban wetlands, farming wetlands, and cultural wetlands. The park features traditional water villages, lotus ponds, and rich biodiversity. Visitors can enjoy boat rides through the waterways, observe wildlife, and experience traditional water town life.
Grand Canal (京杭大运河)
A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Hangzhou section of the Grand Canal is the world's oldest and longest man-made waterway.
