Travel Tips
Best Time to Visit: May to October offers the most comfortable weather conditions, though temperatures can still be quite cold.
Altitude Considerations: Due to the extremely high altitude, proper acclimatization is essential. Spend at least a few days in Lhasa before traveling to Ali.
Permits Required: Foreign visitors need special permits to visit Ali Prefecture, including the Tibet Travel Permit and the Alien's Travel Permit.
